Mujon Baghai is an experienced lawyer and conservationist, trained in policy and with a passion for the field. She is a leading expert in protected area governance and management, and particularly in the use of collaborative management partnerships to improve the management of under-resourced protected areas in Africa. She advises governments, donors, and conservation organizations in designing their approach to protected area management partnerships in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for people and wildlife. In addition to this expertise, Mujon has a strong interest in developing systemic solutions to conservation challenges.
Mujon started her career as an Associate at the international law firm of O’Melveny & Myers. She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management from Oxford University. She is a member of the California Bar and the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas. She currently sits on the board of One League, an innovative education institution offering world-class educational opportunities to high potential, under-privileged students across the globe.
